You will get a SH command much sooner than that if you bid for it. Pretty much as soon as you have the requisite time in the company I would expect but it will be a much longer wait to widebody command. The optimism is more for those already with a decent amount of time in the company than new joiners coming in today.
Surely, it will be all single pilot operations by then 🤦‍♂️🤣

The sim seems to be on either the 320/380 and you won't know until the day so need to learn pitch/power for both which isn't the hardest thing. They are asking you what pitch/power you're looking for so definitely make sure you know these for the day.

Long Haul suitability also, this was a big question mark in previous posts. From an assessor, they told me that aside from having the required 1500 hrs on type, they are judging this in the sim on how you perform and if they can be satisfied that you will be able to pass the intense conversion course to LH as it's short, intense and expensive. So they are looking to ensure that you can cope with it. Take that how you want but great CRM and IFR knowledge at a minimum.

I'd really appreciate it if you could please provide some info on the EAGLE capacity test ?

Hi everyone,

also going through the selection process and wanted some info on the Eagle tests? What to expect and is it worth paying to prepare?

Thanks

Skytest is probably the closest you can come to the real thing, although it still has some differences. It gives you the general idea what to expect so I wouldn’t spend too much time practicing. €80 for the pleasure though

I would recommend Skytest , yes it is expensive but it gets you into the flow of checking multiple systems in a similar pattern to the real test !
It definitely isn’t perfect and not the same as the real test
I think it helped me through

A mate right now is up at around 40% 320 and is still working most weekends. How many years are you looking on LH before you might get a full weekend off?

I have literally no idea who is getting weekends off. Am well into top 3rd of 320 fleet and I'd say I average 6 weekend days worked out of every 8 (in other words I get my required 2x weekend days per month and no more than that).

Good luck

If you don’t mind travelling to Cambridge, VA Airline Training will be able to help.

Hi All,

Apologies if it is in here somewhere but a thread search has yielded no results. Got the email for the Eagle Test, went to book and the options are all on one day which I just cant do. Do these dates update as they become available or do I need to contact someone and see if there is anything I can do?

Cheers in advance
