Never worked for them but know some guys. Zimex is doing a lot of different operations, and it heavily depends on where you are, which type and which continent. Most of their bases are in Africa, Asia and South America.

I used to work for them back in the mid '90s.
In those good old days, they operated a large number (25+) Pilatus PC6 Porters, about 10 Twin Otters, 2 King Air 200's and a C208 Caravan.
All operations are in "intersting" places, Algeria, Libya, Kenya, Sudan, Angola, China etc, either in support of the Oil Industry or International Aid Organisations.
I guess they are doing the same still today.
In my day they required an applicant to have a Type Rating on one of the aircraft they fly, plus people with the skills to work 6 weeks on/ 3 weeks off under harsh and sometimes difficult conditions. Not really jobs for ex airline types used to everything being arranged for them, as generally the crew(s) are responsible for organising their operation, together with an engineer on site.
They have a website, try Google to find it, with all of the latest info!
I think it is fair to say that the people who flew (and engineers) fell into 2 groups, those who loved the lifestyle and wouldn't/couldn't think about working any other way and those for whom it was a stepping stone to turbo prop experience combined with some VERY interesting globe trotting!
My advise is, try it and see, you may like it!
Keep it shiny side up!
