Does Singapore Airlines have Second Officers?

Hi guys and girls?

Anyone can fill me in on this one. Do they have S/O's like CX, in the form of CRP's?

Thanks in advance

Yes to Second Officers, but they are not like CRP's. They have just the same job as the first officer. I believe they are upgraded on ATPL issue.

This thread is currently also running in the Far East forum.

Cadet pilots in SIA are classified as Second Officers, when they are cleared to line, after extensive line training, they become First Officers and can be rostered without a training pilot in the other seat.

The system in Cathay Pacific is quite different.
