They are doing many flights in wet leasing for SkyEurope from both Budapest and Bratislava.

Same money as Ryanair (including all benefits)
Nope, they actually get paid

Very, very professional + friendly outfit,
Agree to a point, under the past chief pilot , a very tight ship, don't know who's doing the dirty deed now. And yes, very friendly.

Heaps of extra benefits not even mentioned in the contract, once you start with them.
Ok, I'll try to mention some.....free travel to point of origin of flight....so if you start from BRQ on company expense they will send you to BRQ from PRG. Or to BUD or....? Anyway, you gets a free flight bag! A pair of shoes! And can't forget the shampoo and conditioner at Christmas parties...oops thats not PC...ok how about seasonal celebrations.and the stewies make an incredible cafe latte.

Benefits changes since last years contracts, they amount to approx. EUR5500 pa.
Really? That would be about 160 000 Czech coconuts per year...what do you include in the benefits?

Nope, didn't get bailed out of anywhere. I just don't think that the typical Czech attitude of "We are best, world famous in g@#$damn everything, the world revolves around us" needs support.

You have to come here to understand what I am talking about. It's an acquired disease. The biggest beef I have is that it's all smoke and mirrors. If you try and get any of the three Czech companies...CSA, Fischer or Travelservice to pay a fair and equitable wage, you will have all the reasons spelled out in detail on three hundred pages of paper why they can't pay you. That's what I think is pitiful. On the one hand, they'll try and make you believe they are the best in everything, after all they invented most of the stuff that the free world uses...while at the same time they have the other hand out expecting a freebie because they are a developing nation. I think Freud called it the small weener syndrome. And all Czechs will gleefully point out that Freud was their man.

That's all, nothing personal against Mr. Fischer. For your info, he's been in the Czech media in the last 48 hours on a very regular basis. The company is going through a Czech Chapter 11. We'll see what happens next but Mr. Fishy is claiming ignorance and threatened to pull the plug on the planes that he's leased through another firm. I am still waiting for the English newsfeeds to catch up on the story but still no luck. If you feel adventurous than be my guest at:

http://www.novinky.cz/04/88/58.html

For those on the front lines at Fishy, it's business as usual, they are still at our training center doing sim checks.

Btw, I still think the stewies make an incredible latte. Mr. Fischer knows how to pick his staff...

May I?
Well still far from western wages (2800 euros net for Cpt. and around 1800 for F/o's), the outlook is very shady since their business isn't bright at all.
Many pilots migrating towards CSA (more or less same money but more security).
Caffe latte?gotta go to italy for that....

Well, soitenly....go to Italy OR Vancouver!

And you're absolutely right on all counts. There was a few more mud slinging in the papers lately with the local 'pretend-a-cops' raiding his bachelor pad at dawn in full riot gear. I guess they expected the financial accounts to give maximum resistance.
Mr. Fischy was out of the country and could scarcely believe the circus that was happening here...
