Final reserve fuel for turboprops

Heh guys,
quick question,
What is Final reserve fuel for a turboprop. 30min @1500ft or 45min @1500ft

Final Reserve (HOLD) Fuel is calculated to be the fuel to fly for 30 minutes at holding speed 1,500ft above aerodrome elevation in ISA calculated with the estimated landing mass on arrival at the alternate or the destination, when no alternate is required.

JAR-OPS: 30 mins for turbine a/c, 45 mins for piston

I would have stabbed a guess at 30 mins myself without any reference, well done for locating the reference. To take the thread further, can anyone shed the light as to WHY it is different for Jets and Turboprops?

thats great guys cheers for the response, its what i thought alright, just wanted to confirm,

also does anyone know if the final reserve for turboprop (turbine powered unit) was ever 45 min? possibly under CAA regs or any of the FAR's????

any info greatly received.
