Opinions appreciated, please, on Barnes McCormick

I’m considering hunting down and buying the Barnes McCormick book titled Aerodynamics, Aeronautics and Flight Mechanics. I see there is a second edition 1994, and an earlier one perhaps 1970 (?) Could any ppruners who have perused through both offer me an opinion on which they liked better? I’m not really interested in the stability and control sections, nor helicopters or or other VTOL. Primarily interested in flight mechanics. Any computer applications could be of interest too.
