B757 vs B737 Engine Fire/APU Bleed Valve

When the left fire handle is pulled on the 757, it renders the APU Bleed Air inoperative. Why does the 737 allow APU air to stay on and not the 757? I know u want to keep air away from the engine, but the same issues would exist on the 737. Anyone?
