Wheelbarrow - no suspicion, he used to twirl the Tourist's 757 in a very artistic way and a friend watched the display this weekend and described what he used to do.

Ex BA Dude, Chief of training!
Should have displayed on Sat but the show a/c had a prob on the runway at East Mids that closed the airport for a while.
God nose how much it all cost! Thought a yellow transit on the prom would have been more of an advert!

Pennine Boy,
Nearly correct but the ex BA dude is only along for the ride, he keeps an eye on the flyer in the LHS!!!!
Display was scrubbed on Saturday due to weather, not A/C!
Javelin, No idea who jack brown is/was but would like to have seen his display to compare.

Ah Wheelbarrow,
thanks for the info! Must have been a mistake that the newly cleaned a/c that was used for base training on Sat morn should have been used in the aft to do the Sunderland Air show and overnight at Durham Tees Valley. The a/c had a hydraulic prob and could not finish the base training I believe.ie. towed off the runway.
Wx at Sunderland was c--p, So as not to spoil the crowd and the qrh boys they positioned to Luton to pick up another Yellow not Maroon A/C for Sunday.
Sounds like fun, Watch out Red Arrows maybe we will see a formation of 757 SF at all the air shows next year!!!!!!!!
Interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pennine Boy,
You appear to have an awful lot of knowlege about the goings on of the team.............
You were correct that the A/C had to be towed off the runway but there is always a cunning plan for a replacement.
A night out in Luton, sounds like fun.........

The DHL 757 flies a measured, graceful and elegant display - but the poor sod must cringe when he has to do the mind numbing piece of corporate "Brochure speak" to the thrilling crowds on departure...

We got the "ad" at Fairford also, commentator Sean made a bit of a joke about it - didn't really seem necessary to me, surely the a/c itself is enough of a flying billboard.
Thought the music ("yellow bird" in a sort of calypso stylie) fitted very well with the style of the display.

And we also copped it at Cosford... But here is an example of the big yellow parcel machine caught mid display at Fairford. Well done to all apart from the pink braced tw@t that thought up the advertising jingly thingly.
kind regards from Fairford,
