OCI holder DGCA license conversion

I am a FAA ATPL holder with 3000 hrs who wish to convert my license to DGCA one to work in India. I intend to move to India due to family reasons
I am a foregin citizen with OCI card. I was advised by DGCA that I can get an Indian license and that I need to follow the same procedure as an Indian expect that I need a security clearance.

Has anyone gone through this process or going through? If yes kindly share your experience and any advices.
