Rule 13 of Aircraft Rules 1937 .. DGCA Grow Up !!
http://dgca.nic.in/public_notice/PN-...%20Cockpit.pdf
Absolutely ridiculous rule (with regards to photography) .
With this rule if any of you have put up pics on your facebook page of you in the flight deck
or managed to click away a beautiful pic of that approach into goa or srinagar then
You could be be in violation of a stupid rule that was drafted in the year 1937 !! When will DGCA grow up ?
I guess airliners (dot) net would have to be banned in India.

in the first case they had unauthorized personnel inside the cockpit and in the second case they took photographs of a defense airfield, which is prohibited.
Imo, your fine as long as you don't take pictures where prohibited.

Rule 13 is quite contradictory considering the fact that AIC 7/2004 actually permits passengers to take photographs except at defence aerodromes

there are many Civil Enclaves in Indian Defence Airports like Goa , Bangalore, bagdogra ,srinagar etc..
now what rules they gonna follow .
it would be illegal to carry camera (mobile phone cameras).. to these airports

Action will be taken against the defaulting airline/individual for violating the provisions of the Aeronautical Informati on Circular 3 of 1997 and Rule 13, which is punishable under the provisions of Schedule VI to the Aircraft Rules, 1937.
Cyril that's an interesting observation. Contradicting indeed.
