Sick just before Medicals

Hi friends,

I need your help. My friend and I, have our fourth renewal within 7 days.
And the problem is my friend has been diagnosed having malaria and he is in hospital right now. He has to take bed rest.
Doctor said it will take time to recover and its not possible in 7 days to get back to normal.
So my question is:
Should I take him with me for my fourth renewal as we know they will declare him temporarily unfit.
OR
Should he skip his medical apply for his NOC and then go for his medicals when his reports are normal.

Regards,
Airbusneo

Your friend should get another appointment.

Your friend should present a detailed report from his attending physician along with a certificate of cure and statement that he is fit for flight to the medical group. It will save a lot of time.

At the end of the day, there is no guaranty that the medical group will not issue your mate a TMU.

Good luck to your friend all the same.

thks for the suggestion, its better for him to skip this medical, and apply again after recovery after getting the NOC.

Also what will happen to his PMR?? will they send it back to Delhi or will they keep it in Bangalore.

Well not only he has to apply for NOC but also for a new date in Bangalore.
Actually its better to apply for NOC because I have heard that getting a NOC takes about 2 months. I guess your friend will have to mention a specific reason for NOT attending the medicals for the intended date.
And if he applies now for a date in Bangalore I guess he should get a date by mid August or September.
By then he will easily recover back to normal.

This is what I have heard, its better you confirm it from others.
All the best for your medicals.
