Written Exam Validity - 5 Years or 2.5 Years ?

I Remember writing and Proving somewhere on this forum some time back that the validity of the Written exams has increased to 5 years.

But this amended CAR released today seems to say otherwise.

http://www.dgca.nic.in/cars/D7B-B1.pdf

6.6 Validity of Written Papers:
The written papers passed by the candidate are valid for a period of two and half
years from the date of declaration of result of a particular session of examination.
Any one has anything to add ?

The issue date on that circular is 23rd Aug 1993.

there should be an amendment issued to that circular. Last time i visited open house, someone had a similar query. Its 5 years now.

cheers

Issued in 1993, Yes, but it has been revised 8 times after that.
Turn to page 8 of the Document and you see the most recent amendment is in August 2010.

So I assume DGCA wants me to consider this as the most up-to date CAR. If it is so, I am in a fix, Yet again.
