JAA licence and China
After converting a JAA licence into a CAAC licence will a Chinese type rating and the hours flown for a chinese airline be recognised on my JAA licence??

I wouldnt be surprised if you have to do an LST again to get your Type on to your JAA. There is rules regarding foreign conversion's which usually depends on the amount of hours on type and hopefully gets around an LST. I strongly recommend you check out the UK CAA website and go through Lasor's plus email them for an assesment mate. Bare with the reply time though,

Hi,
I have asked the Dutch JAA this question. They said it was possible to to add the chinese rating to your JAA license but that there will be a restriction on that type rating for example it is not possible to fly a JAA registered type. If you have a total time of 500 on type you can do an exam in a JAA state on that type then you can add your type rating without restriction.
