Yes it is.

To all those who passed the Stage 1 interview : There is absolutely nothing to worry about. Ignore that email. This comes straight from Cathay's HR.

Message to the other chaps who haven't appeared for the interview yet : Those emails are strictly for you. Complete the application form and send it back to them.

Paul, Cathay requires details of endorsements or ratings you possess at the moment. It isn't mandatory you hold one. Of course it will be an advantage. All the best.

smurf84 14th Apr 2012 07:33

Ha. I thought the wait for the Stage 1 results was worse, but this one tops the list now.

flypaul 14th Apr 2012 07:36

Thanks for advice! Maybe i will complete a ME training.

Wish the best for all candidates!

how long you had to wait for stage 1 results?

PPRuNeUser0163 14th Apr 2012 08:08

have you guys not been told stage 2 dates yet?

when did they advise they would give those?

if successful through to flight grading any idea how much further beyond stage 2 it would be?

best of luck guys, the wait should be worth it!

ashokbhatt1 14th Apr 2012 08:23

though its saturday still got hold of mr sunny singh an hour back.

When asked about so called mail he said he was not knowing about any such mail or any future interview to be held in india for stage 1.

further probing on dates for stage 2 he said may or early june earlier the lady who used to pick up the phone used to say june or july but he is saying late may or early june and said 30 days prior you will be informed about the same.

so if its late may they should inform us within next two weeks or so .So seems not so long wait as when you get the dates time passes like a lightning speed.

hope this helps.

He really said that? The lady I spoke to had no clue about the dates. I reckon SS would know it all. I hope he isn't mucking around.

I applied to Cathay Pacific 4 years ago for Second Officer. Then two weeks ago I get 2 emails and a phone call practically begging me to come for an interview and sim check in Hong Kong in 3 weeks time. Talk about last minute, i'm a little bit curious as to what is going on!!
I just moved onto the Embrarer 190 in my current company and am really enjoying it! Guess I'll go along and see what's what though! Strange!

flypaul 15th Apr 2012 17:42
