Is the next batch of 8 guys over and above the 1st batch of 24 or is the balance 8 + (16 sent for training). Any idea when the next lot is likely to get their call ?? What is the basis of making these batches ? Is it on merit or a lucky dip !!

This group of 8 going in June is a part of the initial 24 (16+8).
We actually did ask the training department whether the next batches should expect any moment, the response was nothing anytime soon. Probably after August-September.

I think that is going to be a long long wait.
P-51 Mustang, on what basis are they calling the candidates? How do they decide who would be called first and who would be called last?

@P-51 Mustang
I'm from 2013 batch and like many others, waiting for the medicals.
Can you please tell us something about the 9W medicals, as to where it is done, what all they check and when do they declare the test result?
Planning to go for a mock test. Appreciate your help.

Quoting this from a post on facebook.
What to expect in Jet Airways medical test.?
1) BMI ( you'll find a lot of BMI calculators on internet use them to assess yourself. If you are way too overweight its time to start the high intensity workout)
2) Blood Test - Complete CBC
3) Blood Test - Pre-Post sugar
3) Lipid Profile
4) Speech Audio Therapy
5) ENT
5) Ophthalmology ( Eye test )
6) Urine test
7) Stool test
8) Xray
9) Cardiac stress test
10)General Health Check-up
Balanced diet and 30 mins of Jogging / Swimming / Weights / Cardio Recommended.

Lots of negative news about Jet airways in the media lately. I hope it will not affect the 2013 TFO recruitment. Can anybody shed some light, how long would one have to wait before being sent for training/ground classes?

Maverick10:
Expect some heavy grilling on Jeppesen approach chart, SID, STARS, airport charts and enroute charts. This is 100% sure that they will cover length and breadth of it.
Study ACE The Technical Pilot in and out. I bet you will not fail the interview. You may take around a month's time to finish the book. But trust me by the 30th day you will be very confident with every question that they could possibly ask.
For HR part, prepare a 45sec introduction and a few followup questions like "why do you want to join Jet airways?", "Who all are there in your family?" etc.
All the best.
