LASER safety at work anyone?

Yet another gem from the wonder that is the internet!

Portable Blue Laser from Wicked Lasers - Spyder III Pro Arctic Series

I wonder how long it will be before some idiot uses one of these on an aircraft on finals. From the website:

Wicked Lasers radically redefines the way we see lasers yet again. For the first time in history, direct blue laser diodes have now become available in the consumer market.
Why? Who, in the consumer market, needs a 1W blue laser?

Perhaps we should all carry LASER safety goggles from now on. I personally have been lased on finals into Heathrow, Geneva, Glasgow, Edingburgh, Manchester, Milan etc. and the list goes on.

edited to add that I have no idea why it (pprune) keeps putting the @ sign in!

L a s e r gets turned into laser so Google Ads don't pick the word up and add ads for lasers.

Seems that we're unable to stop people getting hold of the things either...

Stupidity

Why any company would want to sell Class 4 lasers on the open market is beyond me! We use class 4 lasers at work and there treated as they are a weapon...because they are!
