Question Stage III vs Europe......

Does anyone know if there are excisting regulations/legislations, that would prevent an airline to operate a Stage III compliant aircraft in Europe?

Has the aircraft to have been operating in Europe before a certain date, does it have to have the same registration, etc etc..?

your comments highly appreciated....

Wheelchock,

All none EU registered aircraft that must comply with noise regulations can continue to operate after the April 2002 Chapter 2 operations deadline as Stage 3. If the aircraft is registered in the EU and not accepted as Chapter 3 it must stop operating even if it is the exact same configuration as another non EU company is flying into Europe.

EU airports are quickly setting up their own noise restrictions so at this time it is anybody's guess what can and cannot operate in the near future.
