HUMS for Private Users?

The question is in the subject really?

Is HUMS available/used by private owners/operators?
Any idea of the cost of set-up and running?
Does cost outweigh the advantages on a smaller scale?
Thanks,
GA

Go-around:
The homebuilt Rotorway Exec 162F has a mini-HUMS system which allows remote diagnosis of faults in several systems.
When a 162F was used on quella-killing missions in Nigeria it was plugged into a laptop, and the factory in Arizona tuned the engine.
