I don' t understand.....I flew Chinooks the same time frame as those old Git's....and I am still a young Spring Chicken compared to them! What should worry the Teenagers in uniform is that is their future standing next to them!

You wonder if the 160th Guys will be standing next to the same helicopter 30-40 years from now too?

It would have been nice to see a picture of the cockpit, although I suspect that there may have been restrictions on that.

(Last flew Deltas with 712 engines)

Ive worked with various Mks of RAF Chinnys for the past 14 years, mostly in development phases of some kind, fitted M134 countless times, been of gunnery trials, loads of times, although it seemed to be the Aircraft that generated the most fiore (sic) and panics, ( the 7 daylies are due AAAHH!!!) saying that it has given me more work that most other platforms in my time and continues to do so now with the Mk4 and 6. Good old thing the wokka. When they fly the last merlin to the Knackers yard, they'll fly back in a Chinnok.
