FI new type: 15 hrs experience or skill test?

Hi all,

Under the regulations of JAR-FCL 2.310 (subpart H), paragraph 6, you need 15 hrs experience on type before you may instruct on that type of helicopter.

Or can that be bypassed by a skill test?

Below that paragraph 6 there is an exemption by taking a skill test as in appendix 1 and 2 under JAR-FCL 2.320E.

I doubt my interpretation is correct, does anybody has experience with this? (EASA is not valid yet)

Thanks in advance, BMSL

You can do an FI test with an FIE to save the 15 hours if you are up to speed.
