Dear all and seasons greetings,
I recall many moons ago, 10-15 years ago that there were various USMC base flights /Headquarters and Maintenance squadrons equipped with the SAR HH-46 at the following
MCAS Kaneohe Bay
MCAS Beaufort
MCAS Iwakuni
MCAS Cherry Point.
I know the ones at Cheery sorry Cherry Point and Beaufort are still active, what about the ones at Iwakuni or K-Bay ( I know with relocation of units from Marine Air Wing One from K-Bay such as the HMM and VFA squadrons back to Miramar) ..does anyone know if the rescue Frogs are still at the two Pacific bases?
If possible has anyone got any high res pics of HH-46 please?
Many many thanks

Only one left is at Cherry Point....
Beaufort/K-Bay got closed due to the proximity of USCG assets at Savannah/Hawaii, and Iwakuni got picked up by Japanese SAR.
