Droitwich heliport
I am planning to use a company based at Droitwich for sevicing on an R22. They have a helipad (naturally) but approach and departure has, according to Pooleys, to be on SSW heading. It strikes me that suitable conditions for collection and delivery could therefore be rather limited(?). Could anyone familar with the setup at Droitwich please advise??

I think you have out of date information. If it is the firm I am thinking of, they moved from a restricted site to a much more open one a while ago.
However, why not talk to the company themselves. The principals are not just good engineers and nice people, but hele pilots too. Finally get the exact location and Google Earth it.

I've flown in several times & know of no restrictions as to direction. Keep a good look out for power transmission cables to the west. Lovely, friendly, knowledgeable people.

I used to fly into the old site which was was fine but you did have to pay attention. As for the couple who run it or used to run it since my info is 10 years old, were very helpful and even did not mind when one had a flat in their company Astra.
