Rotorheads Around the World (incl 'Views from the Cockpit')
Mars, It does seem like a small pad but the AG ops I've been involved in all land on the top of a truck. The one we have has bits that fold up to make the pad that bit larger.
Nice photo's mate.

Heliringer,
My comment wasn't about the pad per se - although it is small; it was the combination of location, small pad and rotors-running without a pilot at the controls.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
BTW Mars, that's not me doing the Ag work, just a local guy that I drove out to take a picture of. It was quite a while ago when I was still instructing. I drive the good lookin' 412

Mars,
There is nothing wrong with that what so ever. Happens ALL the time.

Yep, I tried to hit it but with the boat moving and all...
In case you're serious, just in case the trusty old 412 won't start, there's room for a rescue ship to land

Yeah, I was a bit tongue-in-cheek, I figured there would be a good reason. Years ago, as a 100hr wonder, I flew my little R22 to a coal mine on buisiness. When I arrived they had the biggest helipad I'd ever seen. So I landed in the middle of it. Nobody from the mine said anything. During my meeting there was an incident & a huge EMS machine appeared, the pilot was not happy about me bein' in, what he clearly regarded as, his parkin' spot. I was just grateful he didn't blow the Robbie over. These days I tend to park out of the limelight 'cause you never know who might turn up!
