Helicopter down near wrexham ?

Just heard reports of a light heli overturning on landing near Wrexham, any details ?

R44 with 4 souls on board. Crashed on landing. It is alleged by the local papers that the pilot said there was a gust during landing.

But the police helo which was in the area at the time was flying around in still air??????

Shame really - a perfectly serviceable helicopter experiencing such horrible environmental threats as "gusts".

Still, the pax were all unhurt and the AAIB continue to search for this gust

They could do with catching that gust, it sounds just like the one that hit a certain 355N in SW Wales in the early nineties....

Apparently had the mother in law on board !

Only injuries where to the Pilot, head injuries caused by her hand bag, allegedly ! !

Poor B_ _ _ _ _d, imagine the conversation over dinner !
