Norway submits to the JAA, so your quest should point this way www.jaa.nl or do a simple search on this site
And congrats on your Norwegian workpermit...very hard to get.

Since Norway is a part of JAR. Then to convert you must go through the rigor of the 800 hour ground school (7 months full time study) then do the flight checks...etc etc....
As for the visa, Look here http://www.udi.no/. Basically, no permit without a job. No job without a licence. Most of the 9 inland operators wont touch you if you can't speak Norwegian Fluently. But should you be lucky enough to find one that does, then get a letter of employment. You stand a better chance.
Are you sure you want to go to Norway? Why don't you follow your fellow Kiwi's who come up to the Northern Hemisphere for air and go to Canada. Seems there is sucess in that route, and trust me, you will get the same terrain, same snow and it is still bloody freezing, but with the added bonus, they speak the same language as you.
Goodluck in your chosen route. But all the routes have the same problems. No job = No Work permit/residency permit. Licence issues are well, the same old licence issues.
If you need translation of the UDI web site, PM me.
