Fast at Thruxton ( 01264 772508 ) are £145 + VAT which works out at £170ish wet. £200ish dual, I think ( inc. VAT ). If you're not a member you'll need a check out.
I also saw something in Flyer, an advert for £100 + VAT, unsurprisingly £117.50 p/h wet. The company is "Rotorvation Helicopters", 01322 862289, based M25/M20 - is that Stapleford, anyone ? R44 is £225 + VAT = £264ish.
(edited to include newer details )

I am returning to the UK soon and will be based in London (living inn Victoria probably).
So I need some info on Self fly hire for R22/44 and B206. Anybody know some good places around London that are worth looking at?
Thanks in advance.

The idea of not being able to stop before I land is scarey.

Redhill is a great airfield. Trouble is if you live in right in the centre of London, it's the worst airfield to get to by car. The route through South London and the rest of the A23 is one of the worst roads in the country and is bad even at weekends in the summer because it's also the route to the South coast.
Otherwise, slow train to Redhill and taxi to the airfield - then you have to call a taxi out to get back to the station.
Great when you get there, but a pain travelling.

Haven't heard of anywhere cheaper. But they do have a list of things you can't do - includes autos, downwind quickstops, sloping ground landings, and I think more but I can't remember. But yes, very probably the cheapest hire rates.

Hello
I'm looking for someone to take my grandmother up on a short pleasure flight around Exmoor (she lives in Dulverton).
Can anyone help or recommend a company that can?
Many thanks

There's another operator just south-west of Exeter - www.ahhelicopters.co.uk - or is that further from Dulverton than Bideford ?
