Question Converting FAA to JAA

I would need some info

I currently hold FAA CPL/IR helicopter and got about 1000+ hours. I am thinking about converting to the JAA (CAA) CPL/ATPL frozen.
If anybody has done that, or has any information regarding this, could you please post it here or email it to me.

thanks in advance

To Andy212:

I asked the JAA-Licensing Division about that matter and the only thing, they came up with, were the two following links to their website.
http://www.jaa.nl/divisions/FCL_newsletter_3.html#5 http://www.jaa.nl/faqs/jaafaqs.html#Licen

I got some friends in germany and austria and i asked them. As soon as they reply, i'll come back to you.

Thumbs up

thanks for that info !
i would sure like to hear what your friends have to say - since i am from austria myself. i tried to get in contact with the austrian aviation authority, however i was not able to get an email address, and since i will go back to europe in december, it would take too long to send a regular letter. i went through the JAA webpage before, and to be honest with you it does not really make a lot of sense. in a lot of issues they refer back to the country regs in whichever country you would like to convert - very confusing.
i am looking forward to hear what your friends have to say !
