Ah. Didn't realise that the Police aircraft in this case was just being used to provide profit for Sterling, thought it really was being used in a Police role for the community. Your implication seemed to be that Police Air Ops aircraft sometimes fly for commercial reasons. I guess that's true if you accept all the background people that make a profit from it's operation, from Sterling (was this particular aircraft leased from them?), to the fuel suppliers, the landing fees, the Observer's doughnuts etc.
