USFS Cancels contracts for 33 Heavy Firebombers

With the news that the US Forest Service has cancelled contracts for 33 heavy firebombers...it would seem helicopter firefighting contracts will be the rage this summer. Any sign that hiring is picking up in the US for seasonal pilots?

Waiting in the wings are the newest breed of old Airplanes. The 747 tanker from Evergreen and someone has an MD-11 or DC-10 rigged for water. Could it be that some 'Influence" was pedaled to get these newer ones flying....If it works you may be seeing these this summer.
Wait untill they rig the B-52 with water.
