Airfield Operating costs

Question.

What would an Airfield charge for operating a light helicopter at a 'licenced airfield' for (a) training or (b) charter ??

Per landing?/per hour?/per day?/etc
Any ideas??

U & A,

Answering your question at face value:

Pretty much as many options as there are airfields really. There are lots of different ways of charging for the use of an airfield. Assuming you are talking about a long term location, some can offer a landing card which covers all landings for a particular aircraft for say 1 year. Others always charge per landing, and some per circuit too. If a company are setting up at a field, say renting a hangar, landing fees can be included in the hangar/office rent.

If you have a particular airfield in mind, why not ask them??

The airfield charge for training can be a very important cost - for charter it is less likely to be important, because you do fewer base landings.
