They are approved and have a couple of sets in service.
I got to see a set in person this summer. They were parked next to us one morning in MT. Pretty neat looking, the tips were swept like on the Comorant. It was very quiet, compared to the 61 we were flying. The one thing we all noticed it they make a heck of alot more wind.. Couldnt belive how much rotor wash in a ground taxi it created...
