Flying into Taiwan via China

Good morning all, does anyone know if it is restricted to overfly China when your destination is Taiwan? Thanks

Routings are approved according to bilateral agreements. For example, China Airlines [CI/Dynasty] routings to europe traverse mainland China, and the carrier also operates to several mainland cities from Taipei. Be aware that Taiwan and Hong Kong carriers have "B" registered airplanes, identical to the mainland carriers' airplanes.
