J N Somers Scholarship

The GAPAN website has details of this years JN Somers Scholarship on it at present and if you want to you can view and print the application form in full. I tried this and was not really satisfied with the output. The web page indicates that if you want to you can write with a SAE and request the paper application form. I did this and received a letter telling me that I should write back later in the summer and that the sponsorship is not really open yet. Has anyone else found this to be the case. I just could not understand why the form is available on the web and applications are being invited but that I have been told that the sponsorship is not open yet.

Does anyone know one way or another what the situation is? - Am I OK to forget about it for a couple of months?

The testing for the scholarship does not take place until late November so you're jumping the gun a little bit..!

In the meantime try looking up posts by 'Pro Spin' last year's winner! I'm sure he'd answer any questions you have!
