Hello all,
I haven't been on PPRuNe for ages, so this may have been answered while I haven't been looking. Question is, I'm a keen pilot who is hoping to get a sponsorship for my CPL, and I was wondering, if I get my PPL before I do this, will it matter? Will the sponsor not like that I have it, or will it make them think I'm keen
?
Thanks,
Edward

eludlow,
Any experience is good. I applied to BA without any experience a long time ago and got nowhere. I started my PPL afterwards and now I have yet to fail to get through to the aptitudes (and have also yet to gain sponsorship).
Another thing, some airlines (Atlantic) make the PPL a requirement before you send your application form so I say get on with it.
A word of advice - of your serious about it, go to Gatwick and get a Class 1 before you start shelling out loads of cash. If you want some info just do a search. There's been quite a few posts recently.
Hope this helps and good luck
