FAA Rules on Currency of flying.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what is required to fly on an FAA license in the states, after a 2 year gap from passing my CPL. I have only been flying a few times since I passed and have not been in the air for atleast 5 months. Do I need to do any exams again or is it just a case of doing some hours until I can get signed of by the CFI. Any help would be appreciated.
