CPL Cross Country (yes I’ve done a search)

Hello,

My one specific question regarding the UK CAA CPL Cross Country flight experience requirement is:

Does it have to have been done prior to skills test or merely prior to licence application?

Thanks
Matt

It must be done prior to the skills test along with all other experience requirements

I hate to point this out but what do you think the meaning of the word requirement is?
Would you have asked the same question about your PPL solo XC requirements?

Thanks for your replies.
My reading of Part FCL is that the XC is a requirement for the issue of CPL. I can’t find anything stipulating that it must be completed before the skills test.

Beaker do you have a reference or specific experience?

Cheers
Matt

Standards doc 3A, part 2.1.1.
The 300nm QXC is part of the required experience as others have pointed out.

This document should really be your bible.

I was asked for evidence of the QXC by my examiner when I presented for the CPL skills test. They looked through my log book to see if it was logged before proceeding with the skills test.

Also, with SkyDemon you can print out a post-flight package to support it complete with map and tracks, total milage and intermediate milage etc etc.. and every airspace infraction you committed on the way around.
