At the FTE day they said we should hear this week (which I think many of us took to be Friday). Still time!

Ive tried to put it to the back of my mind for now at least.

I'm hoping to apply for this programme sometime in the near future after I complete my curent education. Just wondering about this specific test as not everything was made clear on the Speedbird Pilot Academy powerpoint.
I'm aware that the purpose of the maths test is to assess the mental numeracy of the candidate in a timed situation,. However, I wanted to know if this is solely mental maths or if you're given working out space to scribble down notes, like in GCSE's.
I appreciate the help.
While the PowerPoint mentions mental maths, you’re allowed to use a calculator for all the questions and are encouraged to have a pen and paper handy for notes.

That’s for the initial online tests, assuming you get through to the later rounds you will face more maths tests, for example, if you apply to FTE, you’ll have written tests for which you’re allowed a calculator and get plenty of paper to use.

As for the further online tests with Skyborne, based on this thread I’m under the impression you can use a calculator. At any rate, you’ll be informed in advance so you have some time to prepare.

Do you think the delay is because they go over your whole application again? I was under the impression it would have been a quick turnaround as assumed it was pass/fail but they are obviously looking deeper in.

There are probably a lot of people with similar scores, and they will need to filter further I'd imagine. I think as well that this is not a full time process for those involved at BA - and possibly for FTE too

Email for skyborne candidates

Just got my testing response from BA - unfortunately not successful though I am not surprised due to the difficulties I had with some of the tests. Good luck to all who have passed to the next stage!!

Can anyone confirm what the next stage with Skyborne entails? Just a competency interview or a group exercise also?
