hey mate,
have you considerer training in california?
i am doing my training at anglo american in san diego. i have 240 hours with them.
i would never consider going else where.
the weather is great for flying every day from 8am to whenever. there are no thunder storms that you get in florida every afternoon.
the instructors are extremely professional, and always willing to help.
the social life is also great with regular trips downtown, to the beaches, there are even trips to vegas and san francisco.
your flying skills would be developed to deal with not only flat featureless land in florida but mountians of up to 7500ft, flying within buisy airspace of la and san diego, and a bay flight at bellow 500ft.
don't fall for the trap of comming out without a visa, one guy got sent straight back home on the next flight in cuffs because he came on the visa waver.
anyway good luck with the decission!

Hi rg_vr6,
I did my PPL out in Jersey last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it - great flying, good instructors and cheap beer! Mail me if you want to chat about it.

I did all my flying training (bar CPL) and my early years of instructing in Jersey; it's a great place to fly and you'll be well looked after there. Brush up on your French for the cross-countries, as you'll need to buy your instructor's coffee on the "land-aways"!
Email me for more info if you like.
