Cheapest Flight schools?
Why modular for 50K if you can do for around 55K INCL. MCC Integrated in my option?
I am not saying that you HAVE to do it, but just saying. Since the training takes approx 2 yrs, you know also that Living expenses in my option are really low.
I dont really care what you will choose, but just pointing out an option.

OP just a word of warning cheap doesn't always translate to cheerful! I was in your shoes & currently stand where you will want to be two years from now. Like you I did a lot of contemplating, asking (& lurking) around to finally come up with a game plan to ascertain the required accreditations.
I'm what you'd consider a recent ex-modular (as of a month ago) student. Got my ME CPL/IR licence through the post a week or so ago. Just need to tie it all up with the silver ribbon ala MCC & presto! All in all the shiny blue book & its accompanied sheets has set me back a cool £52.7K with an outfit in the Midlands. I decided to venture down the modular path for a variety of financial reasons (financial constraints, job security, home etc) & to parrot the sentiments of Luke Sky Toddler unless you are on a tagged program I highly suggest you go down the modular path. This road can be perilous but at least it guarantees you have some spare sterling left over post training![Thumb](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/thumbs.gif)
You've managed to amass a decent set of advice/opinions in here.The one about finding a GOOD instructor speaks ten folds & will make a huge difference in cutting cost overall as you go along with the training. I was lucky enough to have had ONE good instructor oversee my whole journey (PPL-CPL/IR), so in that sense we built a really good bond & he understood my strength & weaknesses whole heartedly & did a damn good job of rectifying the chinks in the armour. Looking back he did seem to resonate a very autocratic aura in the cockpit & was a damn near a perfectionist at times which sort of helped me personally as I seemed to perform alot better under pressure of getting the stick...& rudder skills sorted![Evil](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/evil.gif)
It seem like you've gathered sufficient intel to go on! Good luck on your lift generating endeavours OP
P.S; I'm sure you already know this, but to echo the proverbial;
'NEVER PAY UP FRONT'.... that is all
