Old Syllabus ATPL Validity

I sat my last set of ATPL theory exams at the end of last year. On the basis of these remaining valid for 3 years, I would expect to have until December 2014.

However I understand that the final date for changeover to EASA is April 2014. On this basis, it could be the case that my exams are only valid until then.

I've spoken to various people, and opinion is split as to which scenario is the one that will apply.

Does anyone have any definitive information on this? The CAA info / FAQ is rather ambiguous in this area.

Many thanks!

No responses? I would have thought that one of the more experienced members of this forum would know?

From that, it looks like provided you passed them all by the changeover date, yours will still be valid as expected.

as we advised, the ultimate decision will be from the CAA.
Contact them, and have something in writing, then there will be no doubts.
