As far as I can see the BA medical is tougher as they take a more long term view - they want people who are still going to be medically fit at 50 odd as opposed to the CAA who IMHO just seem to want to check that you can see enough to not bump into anyone else and are not about to drop dead at the controls.
BA will focus on ailments that could worsen over time - probably why their eyesight test is harder.

Great posting WWW - I passed the selection in October and you are spot on.

While we took the group exercise seriously, we still managed to have a laugh. Don't underestimate the power of the HR person - it's a more relaxed interview but don't let this make you take it less seriously.

Anyone with the interviews coming up, all the very best. May the force be with you young jedi knights!!

WELL DONE WWW!!!!
I have just received my phone call requesting my presence at Meadowbank again for the final board interview day.
Everything you have said is extremely true and the information you have given, will I hope stand me in good stead on the day.
Anyhow for those of you who are also at any stage of their application the very best of British luck to you all. Remember, just go for it and give your best shot. That's all anyone can ask for.
Cheers.

Hi Chaps,
Any idea if all BA CEP courses are running with OATS or not, and are they all being sent out to the US for the first 70 hours?

in answer to turbulence99's question is that as the April course is already full two groups will go to OATS and two groups to WMichU. This is for June/July. I do know that those of the cadets that do go to OATS will also spend some time in Florida, when and for how long I know not but I will try and find out.
Cheers.

As we are still getting some "How do I become a Nigel" postings, I thought that I would bring WWWs excellent masterpiece to the top again. Well done WWW. A sad loss to BA.

Well, I thought that the guide from triple double u was probably the very best guide to an employment interview I have EVER seen.

The man/woman is an absolute star.

Slightly related topic : does anyone know the Flight International jobs site address please ?

I got it from someone per Capt Prune recently, but lost it because of one of those computer things.

Thanks again to you www.

OATS are sending every new course to the states for 70 hours flying either at Arizona or Florida............Heard the last course to leave are all to be trolley-dollies for a mininum of 6 months after the loss of profit.....
