Oxford Aviation Academy acquires Parc Aviation Limited
08 July 2008
Oxford Aviation Academy ("OAA") has acquired Parc Aviation Limited ("Parc"), the largest and premier supplier of flight crew on medium to long term contracts to airlines globally. The acquisition, backed by STAR Capital, has created the first integrated organisation capable of training (from ab initio through to type ratings) and supplying newly qualified and experienced flight crew to airlines.

tbh chrisbl if OAA are able to use park to get you into the right hand seat of a jet (albeit a temp) you'll get no complaints from me as we all have to start somewhere..

I’m sure there’s a masterplan somewhere, but one thing’s for sure, if there is money to be made, it will be by Oxford and, it will be yours!
Parc’s current customer base is looking for type rated experienced pilots on short term contract throughout the world…difficult to fill posts.
If their clients were looking for non rated pilots with a couple of hundred hours, they wouldn’t pay Parc a fee to find them.!! A phone call to any FTO, and you have the choice of dozens…for free!
Perhaps some sort of mentored hour building deal might come out of this but it will cost you even more money, plus a TR!
Beware the forthcoming marketing hype!!!
Already we are hearing that ‘ this will allow us meet the growing demand for airline pilots around the world’…?????!!!
This is not the old Aer Lingus owned Parc who weeded out cadet applications when pilots were hard to find!

Coming soon. . .
Eagle field
or Brook jet
Brought to you by OAA.
Seems to make sense, currently you pay 70K and leave with new fATPL. Now they can take 70K for training, + a TR fee (registration fee anyone?) and then continue to make XX% on top once you leave.

I don't see why they would do this.
It's not like major airlines who go through this kind of interim companies want 160 hour TT pilots.
Plus, Rishworth Aviation will keep high on requirements.
Or maybe... they want to sell line training and a TR through GECAT (OAA parent company).
Mistery, mistery...

Exactly ix touring
Stand by to watch oxford tap all PARC's airline customers, and offer them the wonderous opportunity of having free FO's for 500 hours! After which you will work as PARC aviation contractors for the rest of forever with said airline!
Sheer genius on behalf of OAT, they are now in a position to make a few grand a month out of you boys and girls for your entire 40 year careers, instead of just a year or two

It's right for business, but for the 16 year old aspiring to fly in 2008, it doesn't look good unless you surname is Rotheschild...
