A friend of mine fly at a flight school in florida Ft-Pierce called Ari-ben aviator (FAA 141/61) ( www.aribenaviator.com ). Multi-engine rating is $9995 this includes 45hr dual flight training with 55hrs of multi time building so works out $99.95 per hour. Nothing fancy school. They fly duchess, I also flew there for the 100hrs time building program, planes are old but never had any problems or heard of problems with maintainence.
There is a JAA flight school at the same place "EFT" they also used Ari-ben's numerous C172's for training.
