Green, green grass of home.....
It's that time of year when the sun shines and the grass grows freely.....
Your aero club cuts the grass on a regular basis, at some expense.
Little airstrips might not get the same attention.
In fact, maybe they only cut a small width to save cash...
So if the strip owner briefs you to use the right hand side, don't be tempted to visit the verdant pasture to your left.
Would the very short landing run give you a clue as to the drag from the surface?
Uphill, long grass, if you are not unstuck after 500 metres in a 152, will you ever get airborne...???
If you recognise yourself, hope you have learned from your experience.
Will the young lady ever trust you again????
If you cannot see the axle, assume the grass is too long!!!
