Flying in Sri Lanka

Visiting Sri Lanka next year. Was wondering if any one knew about GA flying there.

don't take this as gospel, but i think its no chance. From my visits, nothing doing.. too much recent memory of civil wars and tamil tigers bombing the main airport from light aircraft (which was a feat in itself if you think about it!)

It might be possible. Ratmalana is the old Colombo airport, a few miles south of the city. There are two flying schools there and you might get a flight, with an instructor, in a Cessna 152 for about USD 165 per hour. Foreigners are not allowed to fly solo. Try Google for contact details.
