Major developments at Tatenhill

Tatenhill have now commenced work on new hangarage, including T hangers, plus a new admin block with café and club room. Resurfacing of taxiways is also ongoing. Hangarage will be first come first served so contact T’hill today to get your name down!

Lovely lady. A great pity if she doesn't continue with the food side of the business. On the plus side great to see at least one airfield that is seeking to expand.

I think Sammy that Rod1 is taking the opportunity of the date to poke a little fun at the totally implausible.

I will admit that I was having a bit of a joke with the timing but the story is completely true. I have no idea about staffing etc. The meeting was last night and the airfield management made the announcement.

That's odd - NATS AIS must have got it wrong then when they printed the words Taxiway Only on the aerodrome chart...

Taxiway

The Taxiway Only is the old grass runway that we use when dry, as a taxiway very well used at the weekends to keep traffic moving.

If you look at the map the disused runway to the north and south is used as a taxiway. The new hangars will also be on the old runways so all this will presumably need sorting. It is a big development but I suspect it will not all happen in one go.

Must pop in. Is there any sort of coffee available at the moment?

Tatenhill was the second stop on my QXC (Welshpool - Gloucester - Tatenhill - Welshpool) so I have a soft spot for it.

Ah. I usually fly mid week (and am flying on Monday for example). Perhaps we'll take sandwiches and sit and eat them there!

That link doesn't work me. Really works only for April fools. I guess.
