Angry Don't be an ignorant pratt....

Sorry about the tone of this, but I feel I must have a shout about an idiot at Cambridge, because I seem to keep missing him at the aviation centre....
Sir/madam, whoever you are, the owner or pilot of a Bonanza, who keeps insisting on doing multiple circuits on 23 Main, climbing out over a dense residential area at 400' with full power blazing away..... Are you not aware of the amount of trouble GA pilots are facing at EGSC due to noise/nimbys? I hate Nimbys, but after having lived under your particular flight path for the last few weeks, listening to your particular style of power management, I can start to get an idea of what they are talking about.

You have a powerful aircraft, so try having a little think about how you handle it, do the prop tips need to be going at Mach 1 to get a reasonable climb to 1000' AAL? - I feel disgusted to say it, but I feel embarrassed to be a pilot when you are out and about. Do all of us a favour and sort it out. I can't afford to lose Cambridge as my base, even if you can, so get some type training or something.

Unhappy

Well said Nishko, some people forget what's below them when they get into a cockpit. With pressure on so many airfields in the UK we really have to appreciate that not everybody likes the sound of a powerful engine at full chat. Personally I love the sound but I'm sure it would get a bit wearing if you are hearing it day in day out. It's bad enough that everybody thinks we're all loaded cos we fly, let's try not to give the impression that we are completely inconsiderate as well.
Do we want mandatory silencers as they have in Germany? Have you seen what they cost! Yipes.

Rant over, I'm looking forward to flying up the Norwegian fjords this afternoon. Wheeeee
