I use serengeti pergusa with the drivers gradient sunglasses at work. Photo chromatic lenses mean you will be able to see your instruments and any lcd screens such as the GPS or a glass cockpit when you get your first job. I find they lighten up a dark day as well and are particularly good when in clouds/low viz (which you shouldn't be at this stage).

Polarised lenses are a no no around glass cockpits. I buy them off a power seller on ebay who has sold thousands of sunglasses. Usually around 70 quid or so.
