Farmstrip Hangarage
I'm trying to ascertain the going rate, if there is such a thing, for farm strip hangarage. Any help here will be much appreciated.

About 3 years ago, I agreed £1,000 a year with a farmer with a field in Twinhoe, between Wellow and Peasedown St John (too close to the latter not to have a secure hangar), Somerset. Unfortunately, he's been too concerned with planning permision and his residential barn conversion to get round to building a hangar.
Offered for what it's worth.

I charge £120 pcm for 620 metres of well-mown grass and a space in a 2 aircraft water-tight hangar. The strip is in the central south.
Water supply and no electricity.
I think this is a fair price and I have been told I could charge more. However, I would rather have a sensible chap for £120 pcm who understands the etiquette about strip flying than get another £50 pcm and have a high turnover of "Tarmac Ted's" who cause me more hassle than worth bothering with.
Believe me, these people are about and do nothing to help strip flying and its reputation.
