N Reg Radio Lic,
Hi,
I have recently purchased a new N Reg aircraft. Going over all my paper work etc. I can't find any Radio Lic.
Is this required for a N Reg in the Uk. If so would I apply to the CAA in the Normal way.
Cheers

You do need a radio licence. You can get one online at www.fcc.com
A little known fact is that FAA licenced pilots also need a US radio licence if flying an aircraft outside of the US. This is also obtainable online.

FCC
hi Julian,
I've had a look at FCC. I can't find where to apply for my Radio Licence. (sorry).
Can you point me in the right direction.
Thanks

FCC Docs
As explained above, you need 2 radio licences -
The first one is your personal licence = "Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Certificate" -
You should have it with you when operating the radio, as well as anyone else flying your aircraft should have such.
xxx
The other one is the aircraft's "Station Licence" -
That one should be posted inside the aircraft, alongside the Regstration and Airworthiness certificates.
Info on the US FCC sites indicated above...
